Hallowell guardrail

General:  Guardrail shall be “Hallowell Guardrail” as manufactured by Hallowell or approved equal.

Finish:  Shall be a durable powder coat finish.  Color shall be Safety Yellow for high visibility.
 
Column Specifications: Columns shall be 9 gauge 5”x 5” steel tubes welded to 10”x10”x ½” thick base plate. Available in both 18” single rail and 42” double rail styles for protection of equipment or personnel.  Columns shall include an integrated fastening system using grade 5 nuts that are welded inside each column for ease of installation and to insure a proper connection. The universal column design allows for in-line and/ or corner use. Hardware kit shall include solid steel caps, hole plugs, and ¾”x 4” LDT (self-threading concrete anchor).

Rail Specifications: Rails are formed from high tensile 10 gauge steel. Designed and tested to withstand a 10,000 lb. impact at 4 mph. Grade 5 bolts are included.

For applications where temporary access is required, lift-out rail adapters are available.
